The Caribbean is renowned for being the destination for tourists who want an all inclusive vacation. The popularity of all inclusive Caribbean vacations has meant they actually outnumber the accommodation only vacations sold each year. A number of people believe this popularity has been created as a method of bringing in more tourists to what is already undoubtedly a very busy group of islands,however, there really isn’t any basis for this belief.

The chances are that this popularity is a result of the ease with which people can book the all inclusive Caribbean vacations,this is particularly true against standard room only or fly drive vacations. There are even specialist packages, so it doesn’t matter what your interest or requirements are you can guarantee they will be met. Many people traveling to the islands are returning to see family and not so much is needed,these people don’t normally need to arrange for a place to stay as their relatives would be offended if they were to book into a hotel.

Although, the average visitor will find the all inclusive Caribbean vacation the least inexpensive. Many tour operators offering this facility will have options of cheaper transportation and accommodation than would otherwise be accessible to the independent traveler,However, those travelers that are more independent would not arrange a vacation like this no matter how tempting the financial offer. It is surprising, even now, just how many people that book an all inclusive vacation aren’t aware of what they are actually going to get for their money.

The only constant with every vacation booked is that the accommodation is included as part of the price. All meals and any additional food are included in this type of package but that is not always the case,some deals only include a breakfast each day. It is strange how many people still believe if they have booked a full board package that it actually means all inclusive!

The difference is that an all inclusive Caribbean vacation package will include all food and drinks whereas a full board vacation only generally includes breakfast, lunch and an evening meal. Many vacation packages may include vouchers or discounts for activities that visitors can participate in,while guests may receive a discount, they still have to pay. An all inclusive Caribbean vacation will usually include other activities in the near vicinity,often included are restaurants outside of the hotel complex which means you can make more of your vacation without dipping into your pocket constantly.

When traveling many things can and do go wrong so following a few simple rules could prevent many of those problems fellow travelers encounter on the road. This often means that the memories of the holiday are tainted as sometimes the local people are blamed for something which could have been prevented. Or worse still, a situation that sees you locking yourself in your hotel room, afraid to go out, or even spending time at the local Police station. Perhaps it is just that traveling safely requires some common sense and most of the time these days, we do not require it as someone else is always responsible for our mistakes!

No matter what the situation is, trust what your instincts tell you as they are very rarely wrong. A big mistake made by many tourists is they take everything of value with them which makes it very easy for thieves and pickpockets to steal their whole identity in one go. Consider just what you require for your trip out and take that, placing everything else that is of importance in your room or hotel safe. One suggestion that can help reduce the risk of losing everything is placing cash and credit cards in different locations like pockets, wallets and bags; a pickpocket who is trying to steal from you will only get a small amount, leaving you with means to get back to the hotel.

Unfortunately, the convenience of having two credit cards on the same account in your own country can be a problem in a foreign land so another travel safely tip is to use two completely separate accounts; this provides a back-up should one be lost or stolen. Some people just make it easy for snatch thieves who specialize in grabbing bags and cameras from unsuspecting tourists who have them hanging from their shoulder; to prevent this make sure the strap is over the head as well. Try to be aware of where you are when you stroll around and don’t make an easy target for the snatch thieves on the back of bikes. There are many ways to scam tourists and you are vulnerable when you are on vacation so it is an easy task as these people are very good at what they do.

It is often our arrogance that lets us become victims of theft and other deceptions because we do not believe that anyone will pull the wool over our eyes but this is how the criminals earn their living. One way to help reduce the chances of things being stolen is by using a back pack with a padlock, this makes it more difficult to get into and therefore acts as a deterrent.
